Udhampur election results 2024 live updates: BJP's Jitendra Singh wins with over 5 lakh vote margin

The parliamentary constituency of Udhampur is located in Jammu & Kashmir. There are 17 assembly seats in this constituency. Udhampur constituency went into polling in the first phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, on April 19th. Voter turnout was recorded at 65.08% which is drastic decrease from last election when it was 70.15 %. BJP's Jitendra Singh won against Lal Singh of Congress.with 5,71,076 vote margin.

The 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Udhampur witnessed a resounding victory for the incumbent Dr. Jitendra Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Singh secured a staggering 724,311 votes, amounting to 61.38% of the total votes polled, consolidating the BJP's dominance in the region. The Indian National Congress (INC), led by Vikramaditya Singh, emerged as the runner-up, garnering 367,059 votes, which translated to 31.10% of the total votes cast.
The 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Udhampur witnessed an intense battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC). Dr. Jitendra Singh of the BJP emerged victorious, securing an impressive 487,369 votes, which amounted to 46.78% of the total votes polled. The INC, led by its prominent leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, put up a strong fight but had to settle for the runner-up position. Azad garnered 426,393 votes, translating to 40.93% of the total votes cast.
