Hajipur (SC) election results 2024 live updates: LJPRV's Chirag Paswan secures victory in 2024 election

NEW DELHI: Chirag Paswanfrom Lok Janshakti Party (LJP)(Ram Vilas), has won the Hajipur constituency, securing a massive 615,718 votes. His impressive victory margin is 170,105 votes, reflecting his strong support and popularity among the voters.
The constituency went to polls on May 20, 2024 in fifth phase, with a voter turnout of 58.43%.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Pashu Pati Kumar Paras of the LJP emerged victorious with 5,39,665 votes, while Shiv Chandra Ram of the RJD secured the runner-up position.The margin of victory stood at 2,04,382 votes.

In 2014, Ramvilas Paswan, representing the LJP party, emerged victorious with 454,874 votes. The runner-up, Sanjeev Prasad Toni from the INC party, trailed behind. The winning margin stood at 225,058 votes.
It represents a parliamentary seat designated for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category and encompasses a portion of the Vaishali district. The literacy rate within this Lok Sabha constituency stands at 55.13%.

As per the 2011 Census, the approximate number of SC voters in the Hajipur (SC) parliamentary seat is 391,977, constituting roughly 20.9% of the population. Additionally, there are approximately 1,875 ST voters, making up about 0.1% of the population, and around 146,452 Muslim voters, accounting for approximately 7.8% of the total voters according to voter list analysis.
