The UT saw a fierce battle for supremacy between the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress, two prominent national political parties.
The BJP-led NDA alliance has nominated Kalaben Delkar as their candidate from Dadra and Nagar Haveli against INC’s Ajit Ramjibhai Mahala.In Daman and Diu, the BJP has once again fielded Lalubhai Patel, while the Congress has chosen Ketan Dayabhai Patel as their representative.
BJP won in the Dadra And Nagar Haveli with a margin of 57584 votes and independent candidate Patel Umeshbhai Babubhai won in the Daman & Diu constituency with a margin of 6225 votes.

Her primary opponent in this parliamentary constituency is Ajit Ramjibhai Mahla from the Congress party.

Among the prominent candidates contesting the 2024 Dadra and Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha Constituency election are Kalaben Delkar from the Bharatiya Janata Party and Ajit Ramjibhai Mahla from the Indian National Congress.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Kalaben Delkar, an independent candidate (IND), emerged victorious in the Dadra and Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha constituency. She secured 90,421 votes, while her closest rival, Patel Natubhai Gomanbhai of the BJP, received 81,420 votes. Patel Natubhai Gomanbhai lost the election by a margin of 9,001 votes.
On January 26, 2020, the erstwhile Union Territories of Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli were amalgamated into a single administrative unit following the enactment of 'The Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (Merger of Union Territories) Bill, 2019'. The merger aimed to simplify governance, although the two regions still maintain separate financial plans and have their own secretaries.
