MUMBAI: Mumbai is facing severe disruptions due to intense rainfall that has significantly impacted daily life. Within just six hours, over 300 mm of rain was recorded on Monday, affecting several public transport services, including BEST buses and local trains.
With the city anticipating more heavy rain today, here's an overview of what remains open, what's closed, and the status of public transport.

MUMBAI LOCAL TRAIN UPDATE
Despite the heavy downpour, Mumbai's lifeline—its local trains—are operational today. The Harbour line, which was waterlogged, was cleared and became operational again at 4:30 AM. However, trains on Central Railway’s mainline, both fast and slow, are running 2-3 minutes behind schedule. Harbour line locals are now running almost on time.

BEST BUS SERVICE
BEST bus operations are generally running as usual. However, in Sangam Nagar, routes 110 and 117 are curtailed at Hanuman Mandir due to waterlogging.
