Man arrested for videotaping 15-year-old girl in Delhi’s Kapashera

NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly making obscene videos of a minor in southwest Delhi’s Kapashera. A 15-year-old girl was taking a bath on Sunday when she felt someone watching and filming her through a bathroom ventilator. She immediately raised an alarm.
The incident was reported to police and an FIR was registered. Police arrested a gardener in one of the farmhouses in the area during their investigation.The accused is a native of Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. Upon searching his phone, police discovered the videos.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that he had been recording the minor for a while. When his phone was checked, police found six other videos of the girl. He has been booked under section 77 of the BNS and section 12 of the Pocso Act. Police officers said they were trying to find out if the videos had been posted on social media. They are investigating his possible involvement in other such cases and trying to assess if he had videotaped other women without their consent.
