As the starting point for every visitor’s journey, our Ticketing and Sales teams are responsible for that vital first impression.  Delivering a mix of counter, telephone and online ticket sales, they sell over two million tickets every year to visitors from around the World.

 

Based at Buckingham Palace and joining our team of Assistant Managers, there are currently 2 roles being recruited for:

 

  • Our first assistant manager position “Ticketing and Sales Assistant Manager – Admissions” focuses on in person ticket counter sales for all our London sites. This is a permanent full-time position.
  • The second assistant manager position “Ticketing and Sales Assistant Manager – Travel Trade and Groups” focuses on the operational provision for Travel Trade, Group Specialist Sales and Access bookings. This is a full time, 12-month fixed term contract.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervising a team of Assistants and always aiming for continuous improvement, you’ll balance process efficiency and financial compliance with the delivery of an outstanding visitor experience.
  • Leading a culture of upselling, you’ll motivate the team to meet KPIs and sales targets and create strategies for the promotion of special events.
  • You’ll also recruit, coach and train new team members and support their ongoing performance and development.
  • And as part of the management team, you’ll periodically act as Duty Manager to ensure our operation is running smoothly.

Essential Criteria:

 

  • You’ll be an experienced manager used to working with a hands-on approach in a target driven fast paced environment.
  • With a passion for sales, you'll know how to get the best out of a team, inspiring them to achieve results.
  • A confident communicator, you’re used to interacting with and influencing all kinds of people, and you can build effective working relationships.
  • Digitally fluent, you’re able to learn new systems and programmes and can use them to monitor activity and interrogate data on a daily basis.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle competing priorities while maintaining a professional service.
  • A flexible approach to work, you can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of recruitment and training delivery as part of an operational management role would be helpful but not essential.
