Say “I do’ to cage sandals, pearl platforms and jelly wedding shoes—yes, really

By Alison McGill

In the era of more is more wedding looks, one of most fashionable (and cost-conscious) ways to transform your bridal style over the day is to switch up your shoes.

For my wedding 15 years ago, I chose a pair of black Christian Louboutin pumps that I wear to this day. If I were to mood board my dream wedding shoes today I would still choose a striking classic heel, but also add some pretty ballerinas and a pair of wedding-perfect sneakers into the mix.

In a fun summer of 2024 twist, I would also consider adding a jelly shoe—I have rediscovered them this year and found a Cinderella-esque jelly mule for twirling into the night and/or pairing with a coquettish rehearsal mini dress.
