The future of Canadian creativity is here—and it’s bright verging on blinding. Today, the Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards, in partnership with Hudson’s Bay, revealed its second annual New Gen list of 20 emerging creatives: a mix of photographers, creative directors, stylists and more. (The 2022 list was pretty amazing, too.)

“This year’s list is an inspiring mix of creatives who are shaping the future of the Canadian fashion industry,” says Vicky Milner, the president of CAFA, which celebrates 10 years of nurturing homegrown talent this year. “We remain steadfast in our mission to celebrating outstanding achievement and fostering the next generation of talent.”

Leith Sinker, a senior vice-president at Hudson’s Bay, echoes that commitment on behalf of the iconic Canadian retailer. “We believe it’s important to nurture and celebrate homegrown talent,” says Sinker. “These emerging creatives are the heartbeat of our industry, injecting energy and groundbreaking ideas that will drive forward the future of Canadian fashion.”
