Comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan will host a new comedy special that will air live on Netflix later this summer.

“Burn the Boats” will be Rogan’s first stand-up special in six years and his first live event with the streamer, which has made a major push into sports and other unscripted offerings in recent months.

The program will air Aug. 3 in prime time at 10 p.m. EDT live at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio.

Rogan is a controversial media figure who hosts a popular podcast through audio giant Spotify and has faced backlash and boycotts over his comments on a number of issues ranging from public health to presidential politics and culture.

Netflix has recently hosted a number of widely buzzed about live comedy specials including a roast of former NFL quarterback Tom Brady and stand-up specials with comics like Katt Williams and John Mulaney earlier this year.
