President Trump tweeted a photo of a very good dog on Monday afternoon. A key member of the Special Forces operation in Syria that took out Islamic State Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on Saturday was a German shepherd who chased al-Baghdadi down a tunnel to his death.

The name of the dog is still classified information, but Trump declassified a photo of the four-legged hero.

During his address on Sunday morning, Trump said the only injury to U.S. forces was to the unnamed dog, who received severe injuries after al-Baghdadi blew himself up to avoid capture.

According to one U.S. official, the brave pup has already returned to duty.

A Delta Force solider told the Washington Examiner that the dog is war veteran and part of the team. “The injury to the dog is an injury to one of us. These dogs are a special breed of courageous,” he said.

The dog’s brave service captured the hearts of Americans, as many have called for him or her to be awarded a purple heart, honored at the White House, and given extra treats.

Others suggested the dog throw the first pitch at the World Series game.
