THE FERNWOOD COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

The Fernwood Community Association operates from a heritage building at 1921 & 1923 Fernwood Road. The building includes a small front office on the main floor, the Little Fernwood Gallery, and the Paul Phillips Hall, a small theatre space used to host performing arts shows, music concerts, workshops, community events and celebrations. (The Paul Phillips Hall is available for rent at $25/hr.)

Groups using this building include Theatre Inconnu, the Pandora Arts Collective, and Cafe Sympatico, along with several community groups that use our upstairs boardroom meeting space (available for $10/hr).

The FCA operates two Community Allotment Gardens in Fernwood: the Earthbound Community Allotment Garden on Garden Street, and the Fernwood Community Garden on Chambers Street (adjacent to the Victoria Compost Education Centre, which itself was once a project of the FCA and is now a successful independent organization in its own right).

The Fernwood Community Association Land Use Committee (CALUC) plays an active role in Fernwood land use and development issues, acting as a liaison between the Fernwood community, developers, and the City of Victoria.

Thank You

The FCA thanks the City of Victoria for their grant of $3000 to hire a volunteer coordinator for the Fernwood Community Garden and Earthbound Gardens.
