The singer and fashion designer, 43, turned heads after updating her Instagram with a stunning beach photo, one showing her traversing sands as she flaunted her sensational figure. Displaying the 100 pounds she dropped in 2019, Jessica sizzled in a black one-piece, but her look caused some drama.

Mentioning that she and Eric were on a romantic getaway, Jessica called her husband her "forever lover," tagging his Instagram handle and mentioning that she'd picked Cabo San Lucas as her destination.

Jessica, who is known for her love of accessories and boho style, threw in statement dark shades to match her swimwear, also adding height to her frame via a chunky pair of black platform heels. Rocking her blonde locks down and wearing bangle jewelry, the Jessica Simpson Style founder tagged her best-selling brand, placing the tag near her footwear.

"The sun is settin’ on the most romantic, sexy and well deserved (if I do day so myself) Mexican getaway with my forever lover @ericjohnsonalrighhhht," she wrote, adding that she would "miss" Cabo San Lucas.

When the photo was shared by The Daily Mail, users quickly got busy ripping Jessica Simpson apart. While the star has been body-shamed in the past and 2024 sees fans thinking she's had her lips done, this set of comments mostly focused on her choice of footwear.

"Practical beach footwear," a sarcastic fan replied, gaining over 400 likes for their comment. "That beach photo looked so nice, until I scrolled down and saw those sandals. They look so wrong on a beach," another user said. Very much agreeing, a further fan replied: "EXACTLY.............. the rest looked SO nice ....but ruined by those foolish shoes.........."
