This innovative technique uses an implosive sleeve with precisely calibrated detonation velocity, pressure, and geometry to create a permanent, high-quality joint. The “HARVESTER FOR MONEY” A few years ago, ZECK developed and patented a system for scraping old ACSR conductors. Unlike conventional methods which only cut conductors into short pieces, the ZECK Aluminium Separator shreds off aluminium wires at speeds of up to 5 km/h, while leaving the steel core intact. The aluminium wires, in 3 cm pieces, are transported via belt into collection bags, while the steel core wire is wound onto a reel winder. The result? A 100% clean separation of metals, with scrap value reaching approximately 97-99% of new aluminium ingot. The ZECK Aluminium Separator can be used on-site behind the Puller-Tensioner during stringing or separately in the material yard. This system literally harvests money by achieving up to 60% higher returns on aluminium metal sale. It furthermore reduces CO2 emissions, as ACSR conductors no longer need to be shipped overseas for manual separation. TENSION STRINGING MACHINES FOR AMAZING FJORD-CROSSING PROJECT The longest single span conductor crossing in the world is the Ameralik Fjord crossing in Greenland, constructed in 1993. Now a new project to cross a fjord in Norway takes aim at second place with a single span length of just over 5000 meters. For this immense fjord crossing, ZECK is providing the muscle with a 65-ton Puller and a 35-ton Puller-Tensioner. To master the project, the exceptionally heavy conductors are pulled individually by the Puller using a custom-made high-density steel rope from Zeck TSE, Thailand. Each conductor is tensioned with up to 35 tons of braking force during stringing and pulled to the final sag level with up to 65 tons. STRESS TEST for PULLEY BLOCKS Last Friday, our innovative quad-bundle pulley blocks faced a rigorous test to prove their toughness. The goal? Achieve a minimum breaking load of 219 kN and a safe working load of 73 kN. These pulley blocks are designed to handle substantial loads, and it is paramount they can guarantee safety and efficiency during demanding operations. Our technical partner of choice, the #RTTC Railway Transportation Testing Center in northern Bangkok, is known to offer the most advanced material testing and certification services in Southeast Asia, ensuring authoritative results. With anticipation, the ZECK team observed the tests under the supervision of RTTC engineers. We are pleased to announce that our pulley blocks passed all stress tests with flying colors, as expected.
