Office 365 Microsoft 365 - Services on Watch after Global Outage

Microsoft had faced a global outage overnight. Services appear to be restoring as of this morning, Friday July 19. Microsoft 365 services at OSU appear functional but are are watch. Please report any issues with Microsoft 365 to the Service Desk at beav.es/help or by calling 541-737-8787.

EmpCenter EmpCenter experiencing performance issues

Around 6:15am, EmpCenter began reporting issues with their data center, which may impact OSU users.

CORE Reporting Reporting operational issue - CORE, Jaspersoft, and GRS impacted 2024-06-06

We are aware of an issue impacting some Finance and Pay data. CORE, Jaspersoft, and GRS are affected.

These CORE reports are unable to run:

  • FIN1872 - Terminated Funds by Org
  • FIN1859 - Remaining Expense Balance by Business Center Index
  • FIN2572 - Index Validation Table
  • PAY1560 - Actual and Default Pay by Org and Index
  • PAY1562 - Actual and Default Pay Detail

Data in these systems has not been refreshed and so does not include activity from yesterday:

  • Grant Reporting System (GRS)
  • Jaspersoft

Our UIT Decision Support team is actively working to resolve this issue. We will post updates here as recovery progresses.

EmpCenter EmpCenter experiencing service degradation

Around 7am this morning, an outage was detected by users of the EmpCenter system. There appears to be an error on the vendor’s side and a degradation of service, and we are currently working with them to resolve this issue.

Business Intelligence OnBase viewer operational issue - documents unavailable in CORE/GRS document viewer 2024-05-29

The OnBase document viewer in CORE and GRS is having an operational issue and is not serving documents.

Banner Banner Maintenance Saturday May 4th from 5 am to 5 pm

University Information and Technology will be applying necessary quarterly upgrades to Banner on Saturday, May 4th, between 5 am and 5 pm. Banner and many related administrative OSU systems will be unavailable or have limited functionality during this window. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this maintenance, please contact the Service Desk at beav.es/help.

Network/Wireless Intermittent Network Issues

Starting around 12:15pm today, we started getting reports of slow internet across campus, and intermittent connectivity issues. We are currently investigating the issue with our upstream network provider.

Email Some Outlook for Mac issues reported 3/21/2024

Some Outlook for Mac users have been reporting issues connecting to email today, 3/21/2024. Users may see an error similar to "Unable to sign in" or "Unable to add account. Please check your credentials and try again." Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and is working to resolve it.
