The Padres aren't expected to be willing to include Salas in any potential trade packages this summer, reports Ken Rosenthal, Katie Woo and Patrick Mooney of The Athletic.
The 18-year-old is the organization's top non-pitching prospect and is one of the top catching prospects in baseball after joining the Padres for $5.6 million as an international signee in January 2023. Salas is playing for High-A Fort Wayne in 2024 and has a .597 OPS with just one homer in 58 games, but he's illustrated strong plate discipline with a 13.5 percent walk rate. Other clubs will likely continue checking in on Salas' availability ahead of the trade deadline, but Padres GM A.J. Preller will likely be reluctant to move the young catcher.
According to Ken Rosenthal, Katie Woo and Patrick Mooney of The Athletic, the Padres are telling teams they aren't looking to include De Vries in any trade packages this summer.
The 17-year-old has been in the organization only five months, but it's not a surprise the Padres aren't looking to deal him after inking him to a $4.2 million contract as an international prospect in January. De Vries is playing at Single-A Lake Elsinore this season and has struggled in his first taste of affiliated ball with a .194/.315/.302 slash line in 35 games, though that's not a major surprise given his age. It's unclear if he's truly untouchable ahead of the deadline, but the Padres will likely be willing to part with De Vries only if the return is a major difference-maker.

The light-hitting Arraez ranks last in the league with an average bat speed of 62.5 mph, but that slow swing doesn't prevent him from finding the sweet spot. The 27-year-old is without a homer through 43 games this season and has a modest 10 doubles and a triple, but he's hitting .303 with a 10:13 BB:K.

Suarez is tied for third in MLB with 17 saves this season, and he was electric in May with just one run allowed and a 13:1 K:BB over 12.1 innings while notching seven saves. The right-hander's season-long numbers are similarly impressive, as he has a 0.69 ERA and 0.73 WHIP in 25 appearances.
Tommy Pham and the Padres are negotiating a one-year contract, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today, which endangers Profar's starting job in left field.
Profar recently dealt with an ankle injury but traveled with the Padres to South Korea and played six innings in left field during an exhibition against Team Korea on Sunday. The 31-year-old has been penciled in as San Diego's starting left fielder since being signed in mid-February, but the potential addition of Pham could bump Profar to a reserve role.
