Three former Utah State men's basketball players — Neemias Queta, Darius Brown and Taylor Funk — participated in this year's Las Vegas Summer League and all three performed quite well and finished off their performances with a bang in the NBA's top showcase of rookies and other up-and-coming players. Queta had the shortest, but potentially most impactful, run in summer league. In game one, he scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds. In the second game, he had 22 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.
Previously, they lost to the Miami Heat, dominated the Los Angeles Lakers, and beat the Charlotte Hornets. Boston is returning its entire starting five and nearly the exact same roster from last season, pending decisions from a few bench players. As a result, the Celtics aren't expecting a breakout talent to crack the starting rotation.
Chris Forsberg shares his takeaways from the Celtics' four-game Summer League slate.
