The Surface Ocean–Lower Atmosphere Study (SOLAS) is an international and
interdisciplinary research project on biogeochemical-physical air-sea interactions and
climate change.
With its Open Science Conference (OSC), the only regularly occurring event that
brings together the oceanographic and atmospheric communities, SOLAS Open
Science Conference (OSC) offers the ideal programme for scientists who wish to
learn and exchange about cutting edge research in the field and present their own
findings. A special event dedicated to Early Career Scientists is being organised.

- Upon clicking the payment link, participants will be redirected to the State Bank of India (e-pay) webpage, where a dropdown menu for payment categories will be available.
- Please select the appropriate category, such as SOLAS-OSC-SC/FCLTY DEVELOPED Country (Early Bird), indicating scientists/faculty from developed countries. The participants can recognize accordingly.
- Upon selecting the category, participants must fill in the required details (copy paste will not work here), including Name, Registration ID (which is participant ID provided by the SOLAS-OSC-2024 website, SOSC+6-digit number), original email address, followed by selecting 'Individual,' after which you will be prompted to re- enter (name as per the bank's requirements).
- Although potentially inconvenient, this procedure is necessary due to banking regulations. Additionally, participants must provide a Date of Birth, which can be arbitrarily selected (due to the bank's requirement), without disclosing personal information.
- Participants must also provide a mobile number (a random ten-digit number will serve the purpose), in accordance with banking regulations.
- Subsequently, participants should confirm their agreement to the terms and conditions and proceed by clicking 'Next.'
- Upon reviewing the details on the next page, participants should proceed by clicking 'Next.'
- In the payment section, participants outside India must select 'Foreign Card' as the only available option for debit/credit card payments. Indian participants have several payment options.
- After selecting the payment option, participants will be redirected to the next page to input their card details and complete the payment process.
- Upon successful payment, participants will see a payment receipt containing transaction details, including a reference number. Please note, this transaction detail may/may not be received on the email/mobile number provided. It is thus, recommended to take a screenshot/print of this page for future use. This can be also used as proof of payment which need to be sent on the emails provided below.
- Participants are required to enter this transaction number along with their name on the registration page and submit the form.
- The payment value in INR and which is equivalent to approximately the registration fee given in US dollar. In addition, for any foreign transaction there are charges applied by the bank which the participants have to bear.
- The registration fee in INR may be on slightly higher side compare to the exact value of USD equivalent.
