I'm being prompted to install a plugin on my PC, why?
We're required to verify that you're situated within the state of Virginia when placing bets at SI Sportsbook.
The plugin is only required when logging into SI Sportsbook from a PC; once downloaded/installed, you should no longer receive this pop-up notification from that particular computer.
When the pop-up is displayed, proceed as follows:
- Click the "DOWNLOAD PLUGIN" button.
- Open the file from your "Download" bar.
- Finally, click "Run" to install the plugin.

If after downloading and installing the plugin you experience difficulties accessing your SI Sportsbook account, please contact us.
- A "Parlay" is a combination of multiple wagers in one bet.
- To win the parlay bet, all of your selections must be correct.
- If you win all of the wagers in the parlay, you'll also receive a higher payoff than if you'd placed the bets separately.

I'm unable to verify my location in Virginia, why?
How do I reopen my account?
Below are some of the most common geo-location errors; click to view our suggestions:
"Technical error in geolocation"
- If you are trying to connect via Android, you may need to upgrade the app to the latest version.
- To upgrade, please visit our website using your Android device and click the "Available for Android" button, located towards the bottom of our pages.
- Our geolocation service does NOT support Chrome OS devices. Please use a device with an alternative operating system to access your SI Sportsbook account.
"We were unable to verify your location through Wi-Fi"
- Make sure your Wi-Fi is turned on. This also applies if you are betting from a mobile device, such as an iPad or Smartphone. Click here for instructions on how to turn on your Wi-Fi.
- You do not need to be connected to the Internet using Wi-Fi, but you should be able to detect at least 2 other Wi-Fi networks.
- If your device does not have Wi-Fi capabilities, we suggest that you obtain a Wi-Fi adapter from any major computer electronics retailer.
- If you are situated in a tall building and on a high floor, this can also have a negative effect and prevent your location from being accurately pinpointed using Wi-Fi. Please ensure that you are located as close to ground level as possible and able to detect at least 2 other Wi-Fi networks.
- If you have one or more weak or interrupted signals, a possible solution could be to try and improve your Wi-Fi Signal by re-positioning your router. You may want to also consider installing a Wi-Fi range extender to boost the Wi-Fi signals in your range.
- When you are connecting to SI Sportsbook from a mobile device using your cell network and unable to verify your location via Wi-Fi, we'll use a combination of your Wi-Fi Signal, GPS Location and Cellphone Carrier Data, to confirm that you are login in and betting from within Virginia. Please ensure that GPS is enabled on your device, and you are within good cellular network range.
"We have detected remote control software on your machine"
- If you have remote desktop software such as "LogMeIn", "GoToMyPC", "RealVNC", "TeamViewer", "Apple Remote Desktop", "Remote Desktop Manager", "Citrix XenApp" or "PocketCloud" running on your laptop or desktop device, you will be unable to access SI Sportsbook. You will need to quit these programs and ensure they are no longer running.

- Also, if you are running proxy or VPN software, such as "Witopia", "OpenVPN", or "HMA", you will be unable to access SI Sportsbook. Please close such programs and try logging into your SI Sportsbook account again.

If you voluntarily closed your SI Sportsbook account and would like the account reopened, please request this via our Support Department here, and provide the following registration details:
- Full name.
- Full postal address, including the City and Zip Code.
- Your email address.
Note: For verification purposes, please also upload a recent utility bill or bank statement with the address clearly displayed (recent as in the last 3 months), as well as a copy of your Driving License, Passport or ID Card. These can easily be uploaded through the "Verify ID" section of our Cashier.

Why do I need to provide you with my personal information?
- When you're at SI Sportsbook, we'll periodically use our geolocation service (in the background) to ensure you're physically located within the state of Virginia.
Important: Ensure that your Wi-Fi is always switched ON whenever playing at SI Sportsbook.
