We were honored to participate at the Interdisciplinary Pharmaceutical Summer Camp organized by the DŠFS - Slovenian Pharmaceutical Students’ Association. 🌍🔬 ➡️ The camp, this year in its twenty-sixth edition, is a six-day event aimed at students from various scientific disciplines. ➡️ As a proud partner, we actively engaged at the career fair and our associate, Sašo Kovačič, delivered a lecture on "Neuroplasticity and New Approaches to Pain Relief in the Future," addressing the question of why some individuals recover from similar pain better and faster while others do not. ➡️ Our collaboration is rooted in our shared dedication to advancing knowledge, fostering innovation and preparing the next generation of professionals to tackle the evolving challenges and opportunities within the pharmaceutical industry. Students gained insights into our Strategic Programs and Procurement Unit, our award-winning HR practice the Youth Advisory Board and our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We have a long-standing collaboration with the Management Group Association, inviting them annually to visit our company, explore our operations and discuss career prospects. 🤝🏢 Together, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of professionals in the pharmaceutical industry. Kot ponosni partner Zveze za šport invalidov – Slovenskega paralimpijskega komiteja smo se pridružili taboru v Laškem, na katerem so se mladi invalidi in njihove družine pobližje spoznali z različnimi parašporti. 💙 V okviru spremljevalnega programa smo pripravili delavnico z zanimivimi eksperimenti, na kateri sta sodelovali naši sodelavki Neža ŠANTL in Amalija Ozmec, ki sta udeležencem tabora znanost predstavili na zabaven in poljuden način. 🌟🧪 Veseli in ponosni smo, da lahko podpiramo takšne pobude, ki mladim odpirajo vrata v svet športa, spodbujajo njihove sanje in jim omogočajo, da premikajo meje mogočega. Danes obeležujemo svetovni dan mikrobioma, ki nas spodbuja k raziskovanju osupljivega sveta mikroorganizmov, ključnih za naše zdravje in dobro počutje. 🌍🦠 💡 Prehrana neposredno vpliva na naš črevesni mikrobiom oz mikrobioto. Kot poudarja Helena Strašek, medicinska svetovalka v Leku, je prehrana ključni spremenljivi dejavnik, ki vpliva na sestavo, raznolikost in stabilnost črevesne mikrobiote. 💡 Disbioza, ali neravnovesje v sestavi črevesne mikrobiote, je povezana s številnimi akutnimi in tudi kroničnimi boleznimi, kot so debelost, sladkorna bolezen in vnetna črevesna bolezen. 💡 Kratkotrajne dramatične spremembe prehrane lahko hitro spremenijo raznolikost mikrobiote pri ljudeh, vendar so te spremembe prehodne. [MEET OUR PEOPLE] Get to know Katja Kure, Site Quality Head at Anti-Infectives Lendava. 🤝 👩🔬 The department she leads includes two laboratories, offering team members the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge related to the pharmaceutical industry. “Our department may be small, but it covers a wide array of activities. From sampling raw materials and overseeing the entire quality system to coordinating daily with other departments and managing numerous audits, the work is diverse and dynamic.” 🕰️ Joining Lek in 2016, she began as a quality expert at Solids Lendava. Over the years, she has taken on various roles including Head Quality Assurance at Solids Lendava and Site Quality Head in Prevalje. ✨ What Katja cherishes the most about her work is collaborating with exceptional associates in an open and relaxed environment, making every day enjoyable and productive. 📖 In her free time, she loves spending time with family, especially hiking in the mountains. S pobudo dobrega počutja Polni življenja skrbimo za uravnoteženo poklicno in zasebno življenje.💫 Pobuda se osredotoča na družbeno, duševno in telesno dobro počutje ter zajema celostni pristop k bolj kvalitetnemu življenju naših zaposlenih. V okviru pobude smo se v preteklih mesecih skupaj s sodelavkami in sodelavci udeležili: ➡️ Maratona treh src v Radencih, kjer je sodelovalo 22 zaposlenih. ➡️ Maratona Franja, kjer so trije prekolesarili 154 km, šest pa se je pognalo na 97 km dolgo traso. ➡️ 21 naših sodelavcev je sodelovalo v akciji Polni zagona - skupaj so prevozili več kot 2000 kilometrov. Za pot v službo so zato namesto avtomobila uporabljali kolo. 🚴♂️🌿 S svojo zagnanostjo in številom prevoženih kilometrov smo se ob tem zavihteli v sam vrh najbolj zagnanih podjetij. 💙🚀 Ponosni smo na naše dosežke in si prizadevamo za vzpostavljanje in ohranjanje delovnega okolja, ki temelji na zadovoljstvu in dobrobiti naših sodelavk in sodelavcev – naše poslanstvo ni le premikanje mej za bolnike, ampak tudi skrb za ljudi, ki te meje premikajo. Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day with our female engineer of Lek Tjaša Gornik.🌟💪 💡 As a key quality of a good scientist, Tjaša highlights adaptability to situations and new results, which may not lead in the expected direction. 💡 She loves science as it provides answers to the questions, she asks herself daily, while simultaneously opening up new ones she didn't even know she should be asking. 💡 At Lek, Tjaša manages high-resolution mass spectrometry research in early development. In 2023, she played a crucial role in planning and executing the relocation and renovation of the instrumental laboratory for early development, which focuses on developing new platforms for complex drugs. Following the spin-off, this area has become one of the key pillars for building new Sandoz development capacities in the field of complex drugs. 💡 Her work not only advances our understanding and capabilities but also inspires the next generation of female scientists and engineers.
