The cream Morris fruit silk tie pays homage to William Morris's iconic wallpaper design with its intricate fruit pattern and luxurious silk material.
Specimen of Fruit (or Pomegranate) was originally a wallpaper design by William Morris of fruit tree branches bearing oranges, lemons and pomegranates on a pale ground and was block-printed in distemper colours on paper. The design was one of twenty three from a pattern book created by Morris & Co. first issued c.1866.
Since 2001, Fox & Chave has been creating beautifully unique, hand-finished, silks inspired by the arts, history and the natural world under the auspices of managing director Jemima Haddock. Patterns are timeless, colourful, interesting and made from the highest quality silks, in a variety of proportions and weights with every piece of Fox & Chave silk finished by hand.
