NBCUniversal Global Distribution is responsible for the licensing and distribution of NBCUniversal product to all forms of television and new media platforms in the U.S., Canada and in over 200 territories internationally. NBCUniversal’s content portfolio includes a vast and diverse library of more than 6,500 feature films and 170,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, kids, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming from Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Universal Television, UCP, Universal International Studios, Sky Studios, NBC Late Night properties, DreamWorks Animation, Telemundo, and more, as well as locally produced content from around the world. Job Description

NBCUniversal's Audience Insights & Analytics department in APAC powers the Global Networks, Direct-to-Consumer, and TV Distribution (TVD) content licensing businesses with insights and strategic analysis. As an Analyst, you'll be responsible for tracking content performance, preparing cross-platform reports, gathering market-based intelligence and commercial support, contributing directly to our success in the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Cross-Platform Insights: Dive deep into audience data across linear and digital platforms throughout APAC, leveraging software like iTVR, Fusion, and Arianna to uncover insights.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather research and intelligence on the competitive landscape and programming trends in designated markets, providing valuable strategic guidance.
  • Data Management: Ensure incoming third-party data is free of inconsistencies, is organized and streamlined and structured in the most efficient way possible.
  • Data Interpretation: Use the power of data to interpret audience behaviors, derive strategic insights, and ideate on potential strategies.
  • Compelling Storytelling: Craft engaging, data-driven sales collateral and presentations that support both TVD and Networks, captivating internal and external stakeholders alike.
  • Process Optimization: Drive innovation by automating and simplifying our internal report generation process to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years media research experience. There is a preference for candidates who have worked with a content distributor/studio, broadcast or cable network, or an OTT platform.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with linear TV and digital research terminology, methodology, and the evolving media landscape.
  • Showcase strong numerical and analytical skills coupled with a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and compelling storytelling.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • A passion for video content and its impact on audiences.

Desired Characteristics

  • Comfort with SQL and VBA along with familiarity with Python and R will be an advantage.
  • Experience with various ratings software/tools such as iTVR, Fusion, and Arianna is desirable.
