Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Perform consolidation, intercompany eliminations and intercompany transactions for subsidiaries and Group
• Day-to-day accounting such as journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and maintaining the General Ledger
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions
• Ensure that all necessary activities are completed to accurately close the books for a given accounting period
• Preparing the financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow statement, and any reporting packs needed
• Aggregate different processes in the business (eliminate discontinued processes, accounting for changes due to policy changes, and record adjustments made by management in the accounts)
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, perform control testing, and contribute to the identification and mitigation of financial risks
• Assist in preparing documentation and schedules for internal and external audits. Respond to audit inquiries and provide information as needed to support audit procedures.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the R2R processes. Propose enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to enhance R2R processes, reduce cycle times, eliminate redundancies, and improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting
• Proficient in advanced Excel functions, dashboard creation, and data analysis using Tableau or similar tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least 5 years working experience.
• Prior experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Communicates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
• Works well in a team environment, contributes positively to group dynamics
• Capable of analyzing problems and developing effective solutions
