What's the secret to designing a winning tokenomics model for your Web3 community?
It's about the full token lifecycle and not just a static spreadsheet or pie chart. Simple questions to figure out the junk from the pros 1) Can the expert explain what will drive both price and volume. If you can't understand the answer it's likely gibberish 2) Are they mixing in governance with a utility token. A very common and unfortunately big red flag. Governance is a very weak form of utility. It's unlikely to drive positive trading or anything to help keep a tokens price stable 3) If a utility token - can the actual utility be described in a simple way 4) careful if utility is attached to a product or service fees. More than likely the token price will be stable and forget 10x increases. Customers will otherwise hate it

How do you leverage intellectual property in product innovation?
IP management largely breaks into three components: security, usage and inventory. I'll briefly touch on each point from a software development perspective. Security controls on software can range from extreme local development practices forbidding any copying to published entirely open source. Open source can provide security via controlling the license available. Usage of IP covers both internal as well as external. Even simple things like ensuring all fonts used can be covered in internal audits. Specialty firms and services are available for external monitoring. Inventory will typically only be a focus during due diligence processes, but it's critical to those systems in place in advance to ensure everything is in order

How do you leverage intellectual property in product innovation?
To share a counter opinion, it's frequently overlooked how technology, even if patented can be copied via extension. These provisional patents arguably make almost any patent more of a defense rather than an offensive tool to aid in long term competitive advantage. Further the time and cost of enforcement, except by patent trolls, will weigh heavily on senior management. When considering your product, always remember the deepest moats are the communities that competitors can't easily copy and require no registration.
