    Economic Empowerment

    Working with the global LinkedIn for Good initiatives for the Singapore chapter, I’ve organised company wide fundraisers, volunteering opportunities with MINDS, Singapore Children’s Society and Salvation Army.

    Working with the global LinkedIn for Good initiatives for the Singapore chapter, I’ve organised company wide fundraisers, volunteering opportunities with MINDS, Singapore Children’s Society and Salvation Army.

    One of my most memorable moments was organizing an office fundraiser that raised over SGD20K in an office of 200+ people for the Nepal disaster relief solely based off items donated from employees. Other highlights for me was having the opportunity to work closely with the many subsidiaries of MINDS; from its childrens' services all the way to adult care. It's been immensely enriching and rewarding.

    At BaseMission, we work on the mission to do good.

    In 2012, we climbed 5416 metres, the highest pass in the Annapurna mountains, Nepal, to raise awareness for the needy in Singapore. Nikon was a kind sponsor for the cameras that captured our journey which will also be made into a documentary.

    We hope to juxtapose poverty as a relativity to your living environment and community; which highlights the gap that exists in a well-to-do nation like Singapore.
