Vivo Surgical was invited to attend the Shanghai Symposium of Endoscopology and the 16th Sino-Japan ESD Summit (SiSE 2024), which was held last week at the Shanghai International Convention Center. Hosted by Zhongshan Hospital (part of Fudan University, Shanghai), the focus of the symposium was on minimally-invasive endoscopic surgical resections and technological innovation, with a strong emphasis on patient benefit and general advancement in the field of digestive endoscopy. Invaluably, the meeting also served as a platform for the sharing of best practices and surgical experiences amongst clinicians and industry, with the various key commercial players such as Olympus Corporation, Boston Scientific, FUJIFILM Healthcare Asia Pacific and Erbe Group in attendance. This conference was our company’s first outing at such a focused endoscopy-related event in China. With over 50 live endoscopic surgery demonstrations, 14 sub-forums and more than 6,000 delegates in attendance, the scale of the event underpinned the large and rapidly growing digestive endoscopy market in China.
