Welcome to Seeds
From little seeds, strong trees grow.
Seeds of Affinity – Pathways for Women (Seeds) is a non profit community organisation that is run by and for women with lived prison experience.
We meet twice a week to check in with each other, cook and eat a meal together, access support services & learn some new work skills through making and selling skin care products and gourmet treats.
Most importantly, women at Seeds of Affinity feel a sense of belonging, solidarity and self worth during the difficult transition between prison and the community.
If you are a woman who is experiencing the prison system. Please visit our Info 4 Women page and please know you are welcome to contact and visit us.
If you’re looking to join/support us, check out our Support page & please contact us and come for a visit.
We meet every Tuesday 11-3pm and Friday 11-3pm at 19 Carroll Ave, Kilburn, SA, 5084
Lunch provided.
Ph: 08 83 496 192
We look forward to meeting you.
Leave No Woman Behind
We know from experience that people from marginalised & oppressed groups are over-policed and over-represented in the prison system. Our members are from heaps of different life experiences. We are here for you, judgement free and in solidarity.
Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge that the lands in which Seeds meets, are the lands of the Kaurna people. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded & that Kaurna people are living under colonial rule. We understand that the nation wide criminalisation & incarceration of Aboriginal, Torres Strait & Tiwi Islander people is systemic and a function of colonisation.
