RevOPs pros are NOT System Admins However, it is nearly impossible to focus on long-term strategy while worrying about: - Downloading and cleaning up GTM data from various sources (and praying it's correct and up-to-date) - Making a mistake in any of the dozens of spreadsheets you are responsible for - Having no reliable visibility beyond a mere sales forecast - Going through the painful revenue planning process for months every year So no, RevOps pros are not system admins, yet their systems are forcing them to invest their precious hours and skills in trying to unify a funnel that is broken. A week has passed since the Salesforce World Tour Essentials in Copenhagen, and I'm still running high from the energy 🚀 🇩🇰 Here are my top takeaways and reflections: 1️⃣ GenAI is more than just a new technology. GenAI will provide a lot of quick wins but to realise its full potential and gain sustainable long-term value GenAI needs to be embraced as a transformation across the organization. Salesforce delivers innovation built into the core of the platform laying the foundation for transforming the business. 2️⃣ GenAI will have a big impact on the future customer expectations and values. 1) Customer expectations will continue to increase while 2) making it harder for businesses to build credibility, authenticity, and trust with their customers. 3) Differentiation will be driven by a business’ core product quality, service, values, and brand and 4) human involvement will be seen as a premium offering. 3️⃣ It’s clear that the quality of input data determines the quality of the output. Prioritizing robust data models and integrations and streamlining processes to ensure accuracy and availability will be a key focus. 4️⃣ We have a lot of tools in our toolbox, especially with the continuous flow of technological advancements. The biggest value is achieved when new technology is carefully and strategically assessed and adopted, not just seen as a magic bullet to all our challenges. Do you enrich your CRM data? Why do you do it? and How do you do it? I’m just curious if you have any sophisticated approach or if you don’t care. Last time, we ended up with ICP definition, tiering, lead scoring, and lead routing, and then we moved to data enrichment. Then, we picked the right data enrichment tool. And the setup fun started. Anyway, without the preparation it would be a waste of money. -> The tool might not be the right one and -> Enriched leads/contacts without any guidance on what to do next means just a better-looking CRM layout (fewer empty fields) Thanks for sharing your insights! #revops #crm #dataenrichment

Using Monday for project management and Salesforce for sales? Here are cases we’ve seen our clients benefit from integrating the two: 👉🏽 When a deal is closed won in Salesforce and the new client must be onboarded by a project manager. The deal info is synced to Monday for the project team to pick up with all the info they need for a smooth onboarding. (Also relevant for account management and customer success) 👉🏽 A sales org has an extended POC as part of its sales process and transfers the lead to the project team to execute. The lead is synced to Monday to manage the POC, and the info is then synced back to Salesforce to close the opportunity. To #integrate your systems, you need a clear understanding of the process, what information needs to pass between your systems, and a strong technical team to execute. Have you ever bought a product and the renewal contract comes in before you have started to use it? How did you feel about that? This should not be happening (unless the appropriate expectations are set) if your implementation processes are up to speed. In an ideal world, you would only be paying for services or products that you actually use and benefit from. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. "Failure to launch" is a big problem with many SaaS companies, where customers sign up for a subscription and then never fully utilize the service. This can be due to a variety of reasons such as lack of understanding, poor onboarding processes, or simply not having the time to dedicate to learning and using the product. As a business, it's important to ensure that your subscription model is transparent and fair for both you and your customers. This means setting clear expectations from the beginning and providing resources for customers to fully utilize your product or service. One way to address this issue is by having thorough on boarding processes and customer support can help users better understand how to use your products and services effectively. This could include offering tutorials, how-to guides, and personalized assistance to address any barriers that may prevent customers from fully utilizing the service.  Moreover, regularly communicating with your customers through email or newsletters can remind them of the benefits they are receiving from their subscription and encourage them to make use of all the features available. It's also important to gather feedback from customers about their experience using your product or service, as this can help identify any areas for improvement and allow you to continuously enhance the user experience. Salesforce surveyed 5,500 sales leaders from around the world and the results are stunning. 89% of salespeople are actively using partners today and, for those that aren’t, 58% will be soon. This will reach the magical 96% of revenue that we believe is partner-assisted today. Oh, and 84% are improving their sales results from last year by working more closely with partners. As the decade of the ecosystem hits half-time (year 5) we are more convinced than ever that partnerships are the key to success. No time for a victory lap - we have more work to do!
