The mobile data experience is about speed and coverage, both of these tested in a Drive Test, an on-the road test of web, download and streaming experience. So it is critical to have the max level of bandwidth available across 4G, 5G and 5G NR, both in transmission & transport. In terms of transport for mobile data it is about basic competing protocols like TCP [55%] & UDP (QUIC) [45%]; Both of these behave differently - TCP is about connections and reliability, UDP is connectionless and will grab as much bandwidth as it can without reacting quickly to network pressures - like a hungry person and an all-you can eat buffet. If you want #1 Network Status balancing these protocol demands and maximising TCP is key. TCP can be improved, optimized to be a little more aggressive, not to give up their place so easily to UDP QUIC. This is fight to ensure that connection-oriented protocols get their share of the network bandwidth in the face of UDP. TCP also has the benefit of reacting much faster to to network pressures - and adjusting their settings independently of web content servers. The fair share discussion is about download speed between streamed content (mostly UDP) and the rest of the web (TCP). Optimize TCP for 4G & 5G with 25% improvement. Telecom Egypt Reports 90% Reduction in Incoming Scam Calls after Deploying Enea’s Voice Firewall, Deterring Fraudsters. Like many other countries, Egypt suffers from voice call scams where spoofing is used to mislead subscribers about the caller’s identity. Scammers use Caller ID spoofing to hide their identities and trick subscribers into believing the call is legitimate, often impersonating banks or authorities, facilitating the first steps of a financial fraud scheme or personal data theft. To protect its subscribers, Telecom Egypt has deployed Enea’s voice firewall, a cutting-edge solution that operates on a zero-trust approach. It accurately detects and blocks any spoofed calls coming into the network, ensuring that only genuine calls reach subscribers and preventing scams at the very first stage before potential victims are reached. Since Telecom Egypt deployed Enea’s voice firewall to protect against scam calls and unwanted robocalls, more than 90% of incoming calls with spoofed caller IDs have disappeared from its network.
