To encourage work-life harmony and well-being among employees, Elekta kicked off a company-wide initiative, the Pink Ribbon Challenge, in January. Supporting the Elekta Foundation, the challenge has had employees lacing up their running shoes and embracing the spirit of camaraderie all over the globe. Here’s a glimpse at some of the fun we’ve had clocking up miles and kilometers, all leading up to the race in September. #LifeatElekta

Seeking to achieve data security and cost predictability, Centre de Haute Energie (CHE Nice), was the first in France to move to Elekta Axis Cloud. “The cloud is the solution,” says Prof. René-Jean Bensadoun, Chairman of CHE. "It brings all our machines and software together, protecting our data and system performance. Everyone in our department is aware of the benefits of this evolution to the cloud.” Read why they see the cloud as essential to the future of oncology care ➡️ https://bit.ly/3xv2TTn. #HealthIT #oncology #radiotherapy

With MR-guided radiation therapy (MRgRT) you can adapt and optimize the radiation treatment plan on a daily basis. Clinical experience shows why this matters—with tighter margins and normal tissue sparing toxicity is reduced, resulting in an improved quality of life for patients. In radiotherapy, a multileaf collimator (or MLC) is used to shape the beam generated by a Linac. While this might sound complex, this interactive model designed by our Elekta UK Engineering team helps those unfamiliar with radiation therapy to understand how it can precisely target cancer cells. Massive thank you to John Allen for taking the time to explain how this works.
