Abstract
This study examines the impact of Internet and mobile technology use on work-life balance. Its findings suggest that using Internet and mobile technologies influences the dimensions (flexibility and permeability), types (integration, autonomy, interference, and segmentation), and consequences (job satisfaction, job stress, and overwork) of work-life balance. Technology use shapes an individual's perception of flexibility and permeability regarding the balance between work and life spheres. Technology use determines an individual’s type of work-life balance. Technology use affects the individual’s resulting experience as a consequence of work-life infiltration.
