Determinants of restorative experiences in everyday favorite places

The study was based on the answers to a mailed questionnaire of a simple random sample
of respondents from two cities (Helsinki, Tampere) in Finland. Ten determinants of
restorative experiences in favorite places (⩽ 15km from home; n= 1089) were effective.
These determinants included “immediate” use of the favorite place (duration and frequency),
personal background of nature experiences (nature orientedness, nature hobbies,
