Pain management is a primary focus and an integral part of every veterinary rehabilitation
practice. Evidence-based pain management protocols will use both pharmacologic and
nonpharmacologic tools to create a customized, safe, and effective treatment plan. A
multimodal, patient-centered approach will allow for the best outcomes for pain relief and
improved quality of life.
