Exposure to perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), a synthetic perfluorinated compound and an
agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPARα), causes stunted mouse
mammary gland development in various developmental stages. However, the underlying
mechanisms remain poorly understood. We found that peripubertal PFOA exposure
