This meta-analysis summarizes the evidence of a prospective association between the
intake of foods [whole grains, refined grains, vegetables, fruit, nuts, legumes, eggs, dairy,
fish, red meat, processed meat, and sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs)] and risk of general
