Washington – Today, U.S. Representatives Jan Schakowsky (IL-09) and Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) introduced the “Compassionate Assault Response and Empathy (CARE) Act.” This legislation would expand trauma-informed training for law enforcement personnel related to sexual assault cases.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative Jan Schakowsky (IL-09) and U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) today announced that a total of $1,959,752 they secured through Fiscal Year 2023 Congressionally Directed Spending and Community Project requests will be sent by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to the City of Chicago for lead service line replacement at daycare facilities throughout Chicago.
