The first application for SABIC’s ultra-thin ELCRES™ HTV150A dielectric film will be featured at @PCIM Europe 2024 on June 11, in Nuremberg, Germany. ⚡ Our successful collaboration with Japan’s Nichicon Corporation has produced high-temperature/high-voltage film capacitors that are well suited for AC-DC inverter modules used in #electricvehicles. 🚗 🌡 We’re talking 150°C and 1,000V for improved EV range, charging speed and performance. But they could also increase the risks of fire and thermal runaway. SABIC’s new LNP™ THERMOCOMP™ WFC061l compound can deliver non-halogenated flame retardance (UL94 V0 at 1.5mm) for battery enclosures and electric powertrain covers. 💪🏼 It has the potential to replace steel or aluminum as an FR solution – without their heavy weight and design limitations.
