JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE: The Technical Writer is responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. He/she shall research products, services, technology or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience. A content developer is responsible for creating and maintaining digital content experiences for web and mobile, including websites, applications, and other interactive experiences.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1- Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension. 2- Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions. 3- Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed. 4- Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation. 5- Review and/or copy/edit content developed by other members of the team. 6- Create user manuals and other documents needed to understand the functionality of a product or service. 7- Edit documentation for clarity without changing key information. 8- Conduct research on the specified area of topic. 9- Maintain records and files of work and revisions. 10- Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material. 11- Interview production and engineering personnel and read journals and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods. 12- Develop or maintain online help documentation. 13- Assist in laying out material for publication. 14- Leverage technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other coding languages to create features, experiences, and designs. 15- Identify trends and insights and optimize content for conversion. 16- Collaborate with teams to ensure design accuracy. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, computer science, mass communication or a related field. Professional Qualifications: (Certifications & Accreditations) A certification in document control or records management is an added advantage.
