With the BET Awards, Wimbledon, and the Euros all happening over the past week, we were expecting to see some drool-worthy timepieces on the wrists of celebrities. They didn’t disappoint.
Usher gussied up for the Black Entertainment Television Network’s annual ceremony, rocking a Ralph Lauren suit and a vintage Piaget Polo as he received the Lifetime Achievement Award and the award for best R&B and hip-hop artist. Rappers Gunna and 2 Chainz followed suit, sporting eye-catching timepieces by Cartier and Rolex, respectively.
Across the pond, the Beckham family flexed some stylish wrist candy at Wimbledon. Patriarch David hit Centre Court on the first day of the tournament in a custom Boss suit and a smart Tudor Pelagos FXD, while his son, Romeo, turned up on day three wearing a low-key white tee and Rolex GMT-Master II. Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic also found time to show off a Hublot Big Bang as he paid tribute to British player Andy Murray during his emotional farewell.
A little further abroad, English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran flaunted a striking Richard Mille RM 67-02 while watching England play Slovakia during the UEFA European Football Championship in Germany.

The vintage beauty, sourced by Analog:Shift, features a 24 mm yellow-gold case, a diamond pavé dial with shiny “dauphine” hands, and a striking “basketweave bracelet.” The chic wrist candy is powered by a thin, hand-wound movement and secured with a barely noticeable signed clasp. Ed Sheeran: Richard Mille RM 67-02

This iteration of the Richard Mille RM 67-02 Automatic Extra Flat is adorned with the colors of the Italian flag, with red, green, and white accents contrasting all the other black parts. The 38.7 mm tonneau-shaped case is crafted from Quartz TPT and Carbon TPT, while the striking skeletonized movement (CRMA7) is made from lightweight titanium. Weighing just 32 grams, the RM 67-02 is the lightest automatic watch in the Swiss watchmaker’s lineup. Gunna: Cartier Baignoire Allongée

Launched in 1957, the original Baignoire features a distinctive oval shape inspired by a bathtub, or baignoire in French. Cartier followed up with the Allongée in the ‘60s, creating a trippy elongated case for the successor. This contemporary iteration showcases a 47 mm white-gold case set with brilliant-cut diamonds, a beaded crown set with another diamond, a silver dial with stretched Roman numerals and sword-shaped hands, and a gray alligator strap. The splashy piece will set you back $44,000 a pop.

2 Chainz: Rolex GMT-Master II

The American rapper, known for songs such as “Riot” and “No Lie,” sported an iced-out Rolex GMT-Master II at Sunday’s ceremony. Introduced at Baselworld in 2019, the rose-gold timepiece (Ref. 126755SARU) is dripping with gems. The lugs are set with 76 brilliant diamonds, while the signature “Pepsi” bezel is adorned with 18 rubies, 18 sapphires, and 12 diamonds at the respective hours. Diamonds can also be found on the dial and Oyster bracelet. The flashy wrist candy can set you back as much as $237,000 on the secondary market.

David Beckham: Tudor Pelagos FXD

(He has been an ambassador for the Swiss watchmaker since 2017.) Last year, the soccer legend opted for a look by Ralph Lauren Purple Label and a sleek Black Bay 58. This year, he wore a custom Boss ensemble and a smart Pelagos FXD. A riff on the original FXD from 2021, this reference features a 42 mm titanium case, a black titanium bezel, and a black dial. In stark contrast, the fabric strap showcases red and green hues that perfectly complement Beckham’s taupe canvas suite. The piece will cost you a relatively modest $4,150. Romeo Beckham: Rolex GMT-Master II

Released in 2022, the Rolex GMT-Master II (Ref. 126720VTNR) famously features a crown and crown guard on the left side of the 40 mm Oystersteel case rather than the right. The date aperture and Cyclops lens have also been moved across the dial from three to nine o’clock. To top it off, the watch showcases a two-colour Cerachrom bezel in green and black ceramic, which has earned it the nicknames “Green Lantern” and “Sprite.” It is also sometimes referred to as “Destro,” the Italian word for right, as left-handers typically wear watches on their right hand. Beckham’s piece is fitted with a Jubilee bracelet and retails for $11,250—but good luck finding one at a Rolex boutique.

Novak Djokovic: Hublot Big Bang Integral

After rocking a blue Hublot at the tournament in 2022, the Serbian tennis star sported a green Hublot on the courts this week. (Djokovic became a Hublot ambassador in 2021.) This bold iteration of the Big Bang Integral features a green ceramic case, bezel, and integrated bracelet. The striking skeleton dial is also green and contrasted with white accents.
