Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Analyst with expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) factoring, and banking relationship management. The ideal candidate will manage the company’s cash flow, optimize working capital, and handle all aspects of AP, AR factoring, and bank interactions. This role demands a strong understanding of financial systems, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Treasury Management
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily cash balances, ensuring adequate liquidity and optimal use of funds.
- Cash Position: Prepare and report the company’s daily cash position, projecting cash requirements and surpluses.
- Cash Forecasting: Develop and manage cash flow forecasts, incorporating AP and AR factoring activities.
- Investment Management: Oversee short-term investments of excess cash, adhering to company policies and risk guidelines.
Accounts Payable (AP)
- AP Oversight: Manage the AP function to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Vendor Relations: Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues, negotiate payment terms, and maintain positive relationships.
- AP Reporting: Generate regular reports on AP aging, payment schedules, and related key performance indicators (KPIs).
- AP Reconciliation: Reconcile AP accounts and address discrepancies promptly.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Factoring
- Factoring Management: Manage the company’s AR factoring arrangements, including the sale of receivables to financial institutions.
- Factoring Analysis: Evaluate factoring agreements, terms, and conditions to ensure alignment with company strategy and optimize working capital.
- Documentation: Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation related to AR factoring transactions.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on AR factoring activities, including costs and benefits analysis.
Banking Relationship Management
- Bank Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners, ensuring efficient and cost-effective banking services.
- Banking Negotiations: Negotiate terms for various banking products and services, including lines of credit, treasury services, and factoring agreements.
- Bank Compliance: Ensure compliance with all covenants and conditions related to banking relationships.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Financial Reporting: Support month-end and year-end close processes with relevant data for financial statements.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, integrating AP and AR factoring metrics.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis on cash flow and working capital metrics, providing insights for decision-making.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls over treasury, AP, and AR factoring processes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Risk Assessment: Identify financial risks associated with AP, AR factoring, and banking relationships, developing strategies to mitigate them.
Systems & Process Improvement
- System Optimization: Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance treasury, AP, and AR factoring systems, including ERP and treasury management software.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in treasury, AP, and AR factoring functions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA or CFA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in treasury, accounts payable, AR factoring, and banking relationship roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., ERP systems, treasury management software) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of AP processes, AR factoring, and cash management principles.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Banking Software.
- Familiarity with international AP and AR factoring processes.
- Project management experience in finance-related initiatives.
