    Snail Vibe

    Pros

    • Innovative design

    • Carrying Case

    • Powerful vibrations

    Cons

    • None that we could find

If you orgasm through clitoral stimulation, dual-action sex toys sound like a dream, right? With some sort of external arm meant to tease the clitoris and another designed to be used internally, these kinds of vibrators can lead to very powerful and pleasurable orgasms. Unfortunately, that's not always the case, as finding a toy that hits the spot for you can prove challenging.

But the Snail Vibe is built different—literally. It looks more like a trombone than a sex toy. Its unique shape provides powerful vibrations both internally and externally, but is it as effective as a well-fitting rabbit vibrator? I put the Original Snail Vibe (and the brand's G-spot vibe, the Gizi) to the test to find out.

What is the Snail Vibe?

Credit: Reviewed / Snail Vibe

The Snail Vibe has addressed body diversity exceptionally well.

I've tried too many rabbit vibrators where I ended up having the internal arm inserted either too deep or too shallow in exchange for the external arm actually touching my clitoris instead of landing beside it.

But the Snail Vibe has addressed this exceptionally well and in such a distinctive way using their signature snail design, which isn't just for a quirky aesthetic, but aims to serve a more comprehensive array of body types so that users can experience more pleasurable internal stimulation while knowing that their clit will be covered (literally) no matter what.

It features two circle-shaped vibrators attached to silicone arms. As the longest arm is inserted inside of you, the top vibrator uncurls while staying connected to the clitoris, providing intense vibrations along the way.

What I loved about the original Snail Vibe

It's powerful.

It comes with a protective case

Any toy that comes with a storage pouch, or even better, a case, immediately gets bonus points in my eyes. Sex toys are intimate, and in my opinion, anything meant to come into contact with your genitals should come with some sort of external protector for storage. It should be a given, not an extra.

Still, regrettably, that's not yet an industry standard amongst the sex toy business. So, upon unboxing the Original Snail Vibe, I was pleased (and impressed) to find it nestled into a case as nice as one you might get with a pair of luxury headphones. The case even comes complete with a little velcro strap to ensure your toy is extra secure in case of travel or transportation, reducing the chances of it accidentally turning on and prompting a search at airport security.

I got to control the insertable length

It's nice to experiment and play with varying degrees of depth when it comes to penetration. And with Snail Vibe, you get to control the insertable length, knowing that whether you go all the way or just use the tip, the broad clitoral stimulator will remain where it should. When using an insertable toy, I warm up by shallowing. This is when you insert the toy just at the entrance of your vagina. Usually, this would mean that the external arm wouldn't come close to touching my clitoris.

Per what I like, I warmed up with just the tip inserted. The external vibrating "snail shell" was right where it should be---on my clit. As I pushed it in a little further, and then all the way, the vibrator "unfurled" literally like a snail exiting its shell so that I could adjust the clitoral stimulator to suit my anatomy. This ability to play with varying penetration depths while maintaining well-situated clitoral vibration was the factor that convinced me of Snail Vibe's epic success as a toy. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it was magic, but it wasn't---just outstanding design and not something I'd seen to date.

It's powerful... and effective

I wondered whether the broader, rounder external vibrator would provide enough precise titillation. Yet, with how powerful that motor was, it really did. And I liked the broader arousal as it made for extremely powerful orgasms without that overstimulation you can sometimes reach when climaxing with an intensely vibrating external arm pinpoint on your clitoris.

What I disliked about Snail Vibe

Honestly, I loved the Snail Vibe. It's innovative, powerful, and works for all bodies—I have no qualms with its design.

Should you buy the Original Snail Vibe?

The Original Snail Vibe provides depth control and unmoving clitoral stimulation.

Absolutely. I've tested many dual stimulators but never came across one that provides depth control and unmoving clitoral stimulation. This toy is such a win. Plus, I think the internal arm is comfortable—it's not highly girthy but not super slim, either. This toy truly reflects the company's dedication to making toys that cater to more body types and checks every box for me:

  • Waterproof
  • Powerful
  • Quiet
  • Comfortable to hold
  • Rechargeable
  • Fresh and unique
  • Many vibration intensity and pattern combos
  • Soft body-safe silicone
  • Takes me from 0 to 100

What is the Snail Vibe Gizi?

Credit: Reviewed / Snail Vibe

It's quiet and textured.

The Snail Vibe Gizi also looks like a snail, and it features a similar vibrator that should stay connected to the clitoris, but that's about where the similarities end between these two vibrators.

The Gizi is bendable and has an insertable G-spot vibrator. It's clitoral vibrator is textured, but there's only one (wheras the original Snail Vibe has two).

What I liked about the Snail Vibe Gizi

The Snail Vibe Gizi is a G-spot vibrator.

The whisper quiet motors

Both toys from Snail Vibe could be attributed this impressive pro because I've seldom run into toys with such potent motors without the cost of making a lot of noise. Yet Snail Vibe has motors that can even reach rumbly sensations without alerting your nosy, grumpy next-door neighbor who spends his life recording your every sound and emailing every single one of those recordings to management.

The textured external stimulator

Gizi is designed with the same focus in mind as the Original Snail Vibe---constant clitoral contact no matter the depth. Gizi made sure my clitoris was taken care of no matter how much of the toy I had inserted. Unlike the Original, Gizi has a narrower external snail "shell" and little ridges, creating a new and enjoyable play factor. Since Snail Vibe makes it so easy to comfortably position Gizi's external arm, it is simple to go hands-free on this toy. However, I really enjoyed adding a drop of water-based lubricant and rubbing that ridged portion over my clitoris.

What I disliked about Gizi

I was slightly surprised by how—for lack of better terms—flaccid this toy was. I understand that the more limber quality of the silicone is meant to make adjusting it more straightforward, but this toy was VERY bendy. It made inserting the G-spot stimulator a bit challenging and, frankly, was just awkward because when I think about penetration, flaccid isn't one of the qualities I look for.

Should you buy Gizi?

It doesn't bring anything you can't already get from the Original.

The concept driving Gizi is brilliant, but I think that's all that Gizi is right now: a concept. I don't think it brings anything you can't already get from the Original, so I wouldn't recommend it because I feel this toy still needs some work as its hyper-flabby quality isn't quite "it."

Should you shop from Snail Vibe?

Snail Vibe prioritizes all body types.

Sex toys are meant to closely interact with our bodies. Yet, so many companies forget to consider one of the critical things about bodies: differences. With no two bodies alike, I think it's vital that every consumer feel seen versus being presented with toys churned out for only some. That's something Snail Vibe says they prioritize, and I think it shows in their one-of-a-kind sexual wellness innovations.

Using a snail for their design inspiration was highly successful. Although Gizi wasn't quite there yet, the idea of creating a toy that allowed the user to control the depth and clitoral contact worked. And it was, in my opinion, flawlessly executed in the Original Snail Vibe. I can't wait to see how this company continues to grow because even with flaws, a brand that puts humans first and has at least one fantastic product is a brand I want to shop from.
