The first-ever Walmart Deals event officially starts today, July 8 and we've got the inside scoop on how to save the most at the big sale. Walmart+ is basically an extension of the retail giant's benefits offered in-store to those who don't have time to stop in and shop. It's a membership-based service that provides benefits to in-store and online shoppers. Outside of the standard shopping, members can save $0.10 per gallon of fuel at over 14,000 gas stations and get free flat tire repair at Walmart Auto Care Centers nationwide. If members book any hotel stays, car rentals, or flights through Expedia for holiday travel, they can get up to 5% cash back for future purchases via Walmart+ Travel. Binge-watchers can catch up on hit shows and movies with a Paramount+ subscription included in a Walmart+ membership totally free.
When does the Walmart Deals sale start?
The Walmart Deals sale officially starts at 5pm EST on Monday, July 8. Shoppers with a Walmart+ membership, however, can get early access to the deals starting at 12pm EST that same day.
How much does Walmart+ cost?
Walmart+ offers two pricing plans. You can become a member either for $12.95 per month or for $98 billed annually. That’s $21 cheaper than Amazon Prime, provided you’re willing to pay for a whole year upfront. If you're receiving government assistance, including SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, and more, you can join Walmart+ Assist for $6.47 a month or $49 a year.
