This versatile slow cooker is multifunctional and easy to use.

The Ninja PossibleCooker is a versatile kitchen appliance that combines the functionalities of a traditional slow cooker with steaming, baking, sautéing, and more—all in one device.

There are eight cooking modes to choose from: Slow Cook, Sear/Sauté, Braise, Keep Warm, White Rice, Brown Rice, Oats, and Pasta.

Its digital controls and large display house a digital timer and buttons to adjust cooking settings, times, and temperatures.

The PossibleCooker's 6-quart capacity is geared for families. Ninja claims it's large enough to cook four cups of rice, 16 ounces of pasta, or a 7-pound roast.

We put the Ninja slow cooker through a variety of tests to evaluate its overall performance.

To test the Ninja PossibleCooker, we set it up and ran it through a series of tests to gauge its functionality.

Set-up was a breeze: All we had to do was remove the plastic coverings, give the pot and cover and initial cleaning, and plug it in.

We then ran a variety of cooking tests by making various dishes: chili, butter chicken, pot roast, oatmeal, and sautéed Mediterranean chicken thighs. To make these recipes, we used different functions available on the slow cooker: Slow Cook, Sauté, Keep Warm, and Oats.

What we like about the Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker

It's easy to set up and start cooking

There is hardly any assembly required when using this slow cooker.

The Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker was a cinch to set up. There is hardly any manual labor required, apart from a quick pre-wash.

Once everything is set up, ingredients can be added to the pot and the cooking can begin.

While many kitchen appliances take some time to figure out, this one is very intuitive. We leaned on the instruction manual to learn how to cook our dishes, but we could have easily figured it out without the guide.

There's a variety of cooking settings

With one touch, you can slow cook, braise, and sauté your food. You can also cook rice, oats, and pasta in this cooker.

As we mentioned earlier, the Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker Slow Cooker comes with eight settings. Although you can only use one function at a time, you can easily adjust both the temperature and timer to fit your specific needs.

We appreciate that this multifunctional appliance isn't a slow cooker alone, but also functions as a rice cooker, saute pan, Dutch oven, and more.

Cooking pasta and rice in the Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker is a seamless process that allows you to achieve ideal grain textures with a hands-off cooking process.

To cook pasta, simply add water into the cooker until it is half full, then stir in your pasta. Select the 'Boil' function and adjust the time according to the pasta's packaging instructions.

For rice, use a 1:1 water-to-rice ratio for white rice and a 1.25:1 ratio for brown rice. Choose the 'Rice' function, and the cooker will automatically adjust the cooking time to deliver perfectly fluffy rice every time.

This method not only saves on cleanup but also frees up stovetop space, making it an ideal choice for easy, one-pot meals.

Another feature that we found to be a huge time saver is the Sauté function. For recipes that call for browning meat before slow cooking, it's ultra-convenient to perform this task in the same vessel for less cleanup.

To make the chili and the Mediterranean chicken recipes, we browned the protein in the slow cooker pot and then switched to the Slow Cook function when the other ingredients were added.

The butter chicken and the pot roast recipes used multiple cooking functions as well: Both were cooked using the slow cooker function and then placed on the warm function to keep the temperature appropriate until we were ready to eat our meal.

It has a compact design

This multifunctional appliance is easy to store.

The Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker Slow Cooker stands out for its compact design which belies its multifunctionality. At just under 13 inches in length, this appliance is easy to find space for on your countertop (or pull in and out of storage as needed).

This innovative kitchen gadget is designed to save space on your countertop while still offering the capabilities of multiple cooking tools—like a slow cooker, rice cooker, and Dutch oven. Its sleek, space-efficient form is especially appealing to those with limited kitchen space or for individuals who prefer a minimalist aesthetic.

Despite its compact size, the PossibleCooker does not compromise on performance or versatility, embodying the essence of modern kitchen efficiency. This design choice reflects a growing trend toward kitchen gadgets that offer multiple functions without requiring the storage space traditionally needed for several separate devices.

What we don’t like

The oats function falls short

This Ninja slow cooker didn't make perfect oatmeal.

Since this appliance has an oats function, we decided to follow the oatmeal recipe found in the instruction manual.

After following the directions and waiting for the oats to cook for the indicated time, the result was too wet.

The oats were cooked to the right texture (and tasty), but there was too much liquid left in the slow cooker when the timer went off. We ended up having to strain the oatmeal a bit.

Should you buy the Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker?
