Miley Cyrus' big day with Liam Hemsworth was tarnished by her father Billy Ray's absence, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

As RadarOnline.com first revealed, Miley and Liam tied the knot in a hush-hush ceremony at their Tennessee home on Sunday, December 23.

While her mother Tish and sisters Brandi and Noah were present for the nuptials, Miley's dad was strangely a no-show, a source claimed.

Singer Billy Ray "could not be there due to personal reasons," the source said.

However, Miley spoke with her father before and after the ceremony last night.

"She FaceTimed him," the source added.

Yesterday, Billy Ray posted a photo of himself jamming out with rocker Ryan Cabrera.

"Too much fun hangin, singin, and playin with you brother!" he said.

A separate insider who lives close to Miley and Liam claimed they have not seen Billy Ray at the couple's home.

"I've seen most family come and go, but I've never once seen Billy Ray," the neighbor said. "Something must be going on."

Miley's parents Billy Ray and Tish have split at least two times in their decades-long marriage, but insisted they were back together in 2017.

Despite Miley's family drama, Liam's loved ones including brothers Chris and Luke attended the special night in Franklin, Tennessee.

The ceremony was kept small for a reason, the source said.

"They carefully planned this beautiful event with privacy as their #1 priority," the source explained.

"They've been very close for 8 years now – the Cyrus family considers them two peas in a pod."

RadarOnline.com previously reported that Liam was gifted "lots of action" after he saved pets from the Malibu fire that destroyed their home.
