Donovan Dooley is a Detroit-Bred “QB Guru” with over 25 years of experience at the Quarterback position. According to Bleacher Report, Coach Donovan Dooley was recognized as the 9th best Quarterback Coach in the country. His love and passion for the game of football led him to found Quarterback University in 2011. QBU is well known for teaching the entire Quarterback Discipline; including but not limited to: Pocket Navigation, Throwing Mechanics, Cerebral Acumen and Situational Awareness. Since its inception, QBU has had over 200 Student-Athletes go on to receive various scholarships to attend colleges and universities all over the country.

Coach Dooley’s most recent success was highlighted by his Client Bryce Underwood (Class of 2025) being named the #1 Quarterback in the United States by 24/7 Sports! Other notables from the QBU Stable include: Brandon Peters (LA Charger - Rookie), Christian Veilleaux (Penn State) and Drew Viotto (University of Minnesota). The Mission of QBU: “We Travel. We Train. We Develop”, is exemplified in every training session done for Elementary Athletes all the way through the Professional Ranks. This incubator for talent allows athletes of various talent levels to receive direct motivation to help manifest their QB Dreams!

Donovan developed his thirst for the game and his devotion to the Quarterback position while playing for his Dad, Coach William Dooley, of the East Side Falcons Youth Sports Football Organization. He went on to play for St. Martin De Porres High School, West Los Angeles College, Michigan Technological University and Albion College. He reached Championship milestones at De Porres and West Los Angeles! Donovan was known on the field as a General that could direct his teammates with play-making precision unmatched by his peers. It’s the same passion he uses to surgically develop his Clients at Quarterback University.

When not coaching, Donovan enjoys spending time with his Wife, Tiffany and their blended family of five — Briana, Donovan Jr., Mariah, Ariana and Cannon. He loves reminiscing with his Mom Ella, about the family’s founding of the East Side Falcons Youth Sports Football Organization and fun times being coached by his Dad. Coach Donovan Dooley is a Cancer Survivor that kept his whistle blowing all while going through treatment. He translates his passion for excellence to all he encounters.
