Kelly Chang Rickert, Christian attorney, religious discrimination, Title VII, First Amendment attorney

Kelly Chang Rickert is the founder of the Law and Mediation Offices of Kelly Chang, APLC, a law firm specializing in Family Law and defending Religious Liberty.  Kelly has been practicing law since 2000. She is certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Family Law Specialist.

After 25 years, Kelly has retired from divorce litigation. Kelly discourages “scorched‑earth” tactics,  and encourages mediation and collaborative solutions whenever possible.  She mediates and consults on family law cases.

Kelly devotes the majority of her time serving on the Legal Team of Advocates for Faith and Freedom, protecting what matters most: religious freedom.  This is the right to stand firm in our beliefs, and never go against our conscience.   God gave us this right; the Constitution enshrines it.

In addition, Kelly is an Adjunct Professor at Trinity Law School, where she teaches Family Law and Community Property.

Kelly routinely appears as a legal expert on television/radio.  She is also a prolific writer/blogger.  Her children’s books, Two Adventures With Mom and Dad  and Hope’s Broken Snow Globe, were both Amazon #1 best‑sellers and #1 New Releases in the Children’s Marriage and Divorce Books category.

If you’re considering divorce, don’t. Especially if you have children.

If you’re going through it, do it amicably with mediation or collaborative law.  All other paths lead to unnecessary waste of money, or worse, total destruction.

About Me

I am a Christian, wife, and mother.   Born in Taiwan, my family immigrated here when I was 6.   I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese, conversant in French.

I enjoy sharing God’s love.  He is the light in this dark world.

God has given me a law practice to share His truth and I don’t take that for granted.

In my free time, I serve my church and community.  I lead a Mom’s Prayer Group and a Bible Study. I write books and blog, play the piano, sing worship, and hike Griffith Park.  I completed the Los Angeles Marathon in 2006, and have traveled to 33 countries.
