Official tourism website for Cork, Ireland

Noelle Ferris, the felt artist behind “Textured Journeys,” has meticulously crafted felt paintings that depict beautiful places across Ireland featuring locations around the coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way and Ancient East, including iconic sites such as Ballycotton, Inchydoney, Gougane Barra, and The Skelligs. Each piece is created using wool, employing the techniques of wet felting and needle felting. This art form brings a unique warmth and texture that sets it apart from traditional painting. Speaking about the exhibition Noelle says – “The subjects portrayed in this exhibition have been chosen for many reasons including their natural beauty, the associated memories they evoke, and what they represent on a deeper level. I realise that places are important to us and the mix of pieces on display I hope will resonate in some way at heart level with those that visit the exhibition.” Further information on Noelle's work can be found on www.noelleferris.ie The exhibition is open 10am-5pm, Tuesday-Saturday with a launch event on Saturday 6th July at 1pm.
