Health beliefs and preventive behavior. A review of research literature
Abstract
Prevention can reduce risks and minimize illness, yet noncompliance remains commonplace. Knowledge gained through research can be used to improve compliance. The research reviewed helps to denote some factors that may influence preventive choices. Further study of more varied preventive behaviors and among varied groups is indicated.
