Adolescent developmental psychology
Abstract
Adolescence can be described as "the second individuation". It is agreement that the cultural setting will have a decisive influence on the development from preadolescence to post adolescence which is summarised in the article. It seems as the Western culture allows more acting out and provides a subculture to the teenagers which is not found elsewhere. The adolescent period is also much longer nowadays in our culture for many reasons.
