Just landed after an incredible 3 days in Barcelona for the second physical meeting of the ambitious PRESENCE EU project. 🌍✨ We're pushing the boundaries by combining multiplayer VR experiences with haptics from SenseGlove and Actronika SAS, real-life avatars from Didimo ⏩ Develop: Brighton, AI-enhanced virtual agents, and holoported humans. 🚀 It's amazing to think that with the system we are building, I could feel as present as I did over these past three days in Barcelona, making it tempting to skip the final physical meeting altogether! Huge thanks to Sergi Fernandez for hosting us at i2CAT! 🙌

That's a wrap on Develop:Brighton with Didimo ⏩ Develop: Brighton 💜 💚 Best Develop I've been to thanks to three awesome reasons 👇 1️⃣ This was the first event I've been to where people approached me and my company to hear about what we were doing -- and it wasn't always because of the moustache 🥸 Pavandeep Gill ⏩ Develop Brighton and I got several requests to meet with developers who are looking for 3D character production pipeline solutions and that warms our heart 🔥 Why? Because for one, that means that even as a deep-tech start-up, our messaging is coming out more clearly after a year of collecting feedback on Popul8 📖 2️⃣ I was so inspired by the stories people shared, each of us surviving this crazy difficult year in games. The highlight sentiment was "If we don't stick around, then who will be here to break the cycle and make things better" 🌍 In this way, I felt welcomed and at home with the game developers community for the first time ever -- I'm sure we'll all go home and keep build better and more sustainable projects 🌱 Thanks to the people who run Game Dev Heroes for giving individuals that space - Congrats again to Karla for winning the Progression Advocate Award with her work at Anima Interactive 👐 3️⃣ Learnings, learnings, learnings. We had great conversations with people giving us invaluable feedback on our tech, our positioning and opening up opportunities across 3D content production in the UK and global dev space as well as the intersection of new AI-supercharged pipelines. Special thanks to Tommy Thompson for spending some time sharing all his great work and celebrating the incredible panel we did with GamesIndustry.Biz on the latest in AI and game dev (find the link in comments!) 🔗 I learnt a ton about marketing & the UK games industry in general thanks to James Kaye, Jonathan Hill 🎮 who gave me a higher perspective on our work.
