Background

Dr. Rachel Levine is associate professor of medicine in the Department of Medicine.  She completed her undergraduate and medical school degrees at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at the Boston University Medical Center. She then completed fellowship in General Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine with a focus on medical education.

Dr. Levine’s areas of expertise include adult learning and faculty development in teaching skills.  She has vast experience designing and facilitating programs (online and live) aimed at promoting the development of scholarly educators and leaders in medical education.  She currently co-directs the Longitudinal Teaching Skills Course of the Johns Hopkins Faculty Development Program (now in its 31st year) and the Johns Hopkins Summer Teaching Camp in partnership with the Institute for Excellence in Education.  Dr. Levine is also co-director of the Medical Education Track of the General Internal Medicine Fellowship Program and core faculty in the Colleges Advisory Program (CAP) where she teaches and coaches medical students.  Dr. Levine has presented workshops (locally, nationally and internationally) on teaching skills and other faculty development topics including career advancement and promotion for educators in the biomedical sciences.  She is passionate about enhancing faculty teaching skills and promoting the academic success of educators.

      Dr. Levine shows the most concern for my health and wellbeing compared to any of the other PCPs I have had. She always remembers my medical history and issues and helps me stay healthy. I couldn't ask for a better doctor.

      Dr.. Levine is am excellent Doctor. She ALWAYS listens to what I have to say and takes it into consideration concerning my health cares. She always provides sound advice concerning things that will help me with any problems or concerns and always gets right back to mei if II call. I recommend her all the time to others as she is exactly what you want you primary care physician to be like.

      Dr. Levine is a very thorough Dr., at every appointment she makes sure we go through any health issues I might have, or any potential health issues, and makes sure they are all addressed, and that there are no issues holding me back from taking care of them in an appropriate manner.

      Dr. Levine is simply fabulous. Top of the line and incredibly kind to boot. She has made a huge impact on my ability to surround a serious health challenge about a year ago (ischemic strokes). I just finished a big management job, am running and playing guitar again. And back to almost what my life was before the strokes.
